About Instructor
Kaori is a certified Sogetsu-style Ikebana Instructor, ranked at Somu.
She started her training since 1976 at the class of Shubi Naruse, a distinguished professor in Aichi, Japan. Kaori lives at Center city of Philadelphia since 2006 and continues her training at naruse's group, as well as advanced courses at the capital of Sogetsu school.
Kaori's arrangement abstracts mortions of flowers and branches in the nature, expressing a breeze in garden and meadow. Her elegant and delicate style of Ikebana arrangements have been presented at multiple exhibition and demonstration in Philadelphia Flower Show and Wayne art center. Kaori opened the classes of Ikebana and Flower arrangement in 2007, in which total 120 students have learned. Currently 20 students are studying in the class held in Center city, Philadelphia, and two students has completed the basic program.
